Use Wallet > Bulk Transfer to pay multiple bank recipients in one batch. You can enter recipients manually or upload a CSV file.
Who can do this
You need permission to transfer company-wallet funds. Prepare an approved payment schedule and verify every recipient before creating the batch.
Before you start
- Check the wallet's Spendable now balance after pending-transfer holds.
- Confirm the category, optional project, bank, account number, amount, and description for every recipient.
- Remove duplicate rows from the payment schedule.
- Decide whether Manual Entry or CSV Upload is the safer method for the batch size.
Option 1: Manual Entry
1. Open Wallet and select Bulk Transfer.
2. Keep Manual Entry selected.
3. For the first recipient, choose the Category.
4. Select a Project when applicable.
5. Select the Bank.
6. Enter the 10-digit Account Number.
7. Enter the Amount.
8. Add an optional Description or payment reference.
9. Select Save as beneficiary for future transfers only for a verified recurring recipient.
10. Select Add another transfer for each additional recipient, or Add from beneficiaries to use saved recipients.
11. Review the Batch Summary: Available Balance, funds held by pending transfers, Spendable now, recipient count, and total.
12. Select Review Transfers when the batch is complete.
13. On the review screen, check every recipient and the total before authorising the batch.
Option 2: CSV Upload
1. Open Bulk Transfer and select CSV Upload.
2. Select Download template and prepare the file using the provided format.
3. The required columns are:
- category
- bank
- account_number
- amount
- description
4. Category accepts a category name or category ID.
5. Bank accepts an exact supported bank name or CBN bank code.
6. Upload the CSV by browsing or dragging it into the upload area.
7. Review validation results and correct every rejected row.
8. Compare the accepted recipient count and batch total with the approved payment schedule.
9. Select Review Transfers and verify the final batch before authorising it.
Spreadsheet warning
Keep account numbers as text so leading zeros are preserved. Spendive attempts to restore leading zeros removed by spreadsheet applications, but you should still verify the final account number.
Batch controls
- Verify the total against the approved payment schedule.
- Never ignore rejected or duplicate rows.
- Use the Supported Banks list and search when a bank name is uncertain.
- Confirm the batch total does not exceed Spendable now.
- Save the uploaded file, review evidence, and resulting transaction references.
- A failed row should be investigated separately; do not resend the entire batch blindly.
After submission
Review Wallet > Transaction History for the resulting debits and statuses. Pending transfers reduce the spendable balance until they complete, fail, or reverse.
Troubleshooting
- Review Transfers is disabled: add at least one valid recipient and complete every required field.
- CSV upload fails: use the downloaded template and exact column names.
- Bank is rejected: use a supported bank name or CBN code from the page.
- Account number loses a leading zero: format the CSV column as text and verify the uploaded value.
- Batch exceeds the wallet balance: reduce the batch or fund the wallet according to policy.
- One payment remains Pending: investigate that transaction before retrying it.
